Porter never sees a social security number, bank account or card number — those are stripped out of every AppFolio record before the assistant reads it. Each person's lookups are filtered to their own records on our server, not by asking the assistant nicely. Your AppFolio credential is encrypted before it's stored and is never shown back to anyone, including you. Every lookup is written to an access log you can read.
If you use AppFolio Property Manager, yes. You generate a Reports API credential inside your own account and paste it in — we never ask for your AppFolio password. The connection is read-only, so Porter can look things up but cannot change anything in your books. Revoke the credential in AppFolio and Porter stops the same minute.
It says so, and points the person to your office. It is built to refuse rather than guess: if the answer isn't in the information you wrote, or in the AppFolio records that person is allowed to see, it won't invent one. That is the part we are strictest about, because a confident wrong answer on your website costs more than no answer at all.
Yes. You set nine colours, the heading and body fonts, and how rounded the corners are, with a live preview next to the controls. You also write the greeting and the suggested questions people see first. Most companies have it looking like the rest of their site in about ten minutes.
